Paris Haute Couture Week has just come to a close and as expected the runways were awash with full length show-stopping gowns beautifully adorned with feathers, tulle, sequins and lace. All in all it was another awe inspiring season and the most sensational collection was the gorgeous Elie Saab show. Never one to disappoint Elie Saab sparks wonder and desire in all that see his designs.
Always so amazingly whimsical, the Elie Saab show is held in very high regard, not surprisingly when the designs that are curated are stunningly beautiful each and every season.
Yesterday the Elie Saab’s haute couture show took place in Paris in front of a celebrity filled frow which included the fashion elite Olivia Palermo and Dita Von Teese. The Lebanese Designer stated that the collection was “a tribute to the city that I love: my Beirut.” He also went on to say “With every new collection I conceived, the striking image of my mother in this tulip print silk dress reappeared endlessly.”
He uses lots of silk, sparkles, feathers, tulle and embellishments in a huge variety of shades including pale pinks, greys, blacks, creams and even reds, yet he always manages to stay true to his design ethos as you would know a Saab design almost anywhere.
Elie Saab is one of my most favourite designers as his collections are always so breathtakingly beautifully and I think his designs are created to make ladies feel instantly like a princess and extremely special.
