Yay, it’s May! This has been a really quick week as I got back from lovely Ireland on Monday from a great trip home and am now getting ready to enjoy the long weekend (we have a bank holiday on Monday in the UK so YAY to no work). Here, I have rounded up some things that have been my favourites this week.
While perusing through the wonderful world of Pinterest I spotted this cute Chanel gold and clear clutch bag and have now decided I need it in my life.. it would virtually go with everything so you could use it all the time meaning cost per wear would make it a bargain – that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
As the saying goes home is where the heart is and when this is the view that greets you when you step outside your front door it makes that saying certainly true for me. This beautiful lake in Leitrim, always makes me so happy to be home and is a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of London. Talk about complete opposites, here you can walk along the lake and not meet one person, where as in London there isn’t really anywhere you can go that you won’t be surrounded by hundreds of people #citylifeprobelms.
Favourite beauty buy:
So while I have acquired quite a lot of new beauty products in the last week, my favourite has to be this Barry M quick dry nail paint polish in Pit Stop, the colour is a gorgeous light grey with a hint of lilac, it applies so easily and dries instantly and it has not chipped since I applied it a couple of days ago, all the reasons why I love this brand. New post coming soon on lots more Barry M shades I picked up recently.
As it is going to be a long weekend I will have lots of time to cook. I am thinking I will try out this Jamie Oliver Pasta Pesto recipe and possibly do a little baking. Have you tried this one before? It looks so scrummy.
“Bloom where you are planted” this really reinstates with me as sometimes I find myself dreaming of living in New York or back in Ireland, especially after my recent trip home, thinking I would be so much happier being closer to my family or living in my favourite city on earth. But it is so important to flourish where you are and make the most out of every situation. We are where we are so embrace it, learn from it and enjoy it while you can.
Last night I watched Love, Rosie if you haven’t seen it and you love a good rom-com, then this is a must see. It is a cute and funny tale about fate and what happens when the timing is never quite right. It is based on Cecilia Ahern’s book Where Rainbows End, which I am currently re-reading as a result of watching this movie.
Happy Friday everyone and cheers to the freakin’ [long] weekend.
