The best cheap lipsticks ever?

My lipstick obsession is quite an expensive one, especially when I convince myself, on a regular basis, that I NEED another MAC one. However, I do prefer to keep my expensive lippy’s for nights out or special events and for day to day I like to use more inexpensive ones. There is inexpensive and then there is lippy’s for £1 – I mean how is that even possible?

Safe to say I bought nearly all of them – for that price you just have to.

Makeup Revolution virtually came out of nowhere sometime last year and instantly became a massive hit amongst the beauty mad. The brand is best known for creating dupes of high end makeup and their price point is insanely cheap.

Their lippys, amazingly are only a one pound and I must say I’m very impressed with them.

For the price I wasn’t expecting them to be much good but the colour range is fantastic, they are super pigmented, they apply super easy and have a lovely consistency.

Some of them though are disappointing, the matte shades in particular, as they are hard to apply and are very drying on the lips, this is to be expected though with matte lipstick.

Most of them though are super impressive – they make my mind boggle, I mean how can they just be £1?

And with cute black and gold packaging there is not much I don’t like about them.

Here are my top 4 favourite shades:

I think that the majority of the time we are just paying for the brand name, yes OK these lippys are not as good quality as MAC but for £1 that is to be expected. They do however rival other drugstore lippy’s that are £8, like L’Oreal or Barry M. I know I would certainly prefer 8 new lipstick’s instead of just one, because a girl can never have too many, right?

Now I just need to find a place to store them all!

Have you tried any of these lippy’s yet?
