With makeup brands like Makeup Revolution, Collection, Barry M and Rimmel, cost effective makeup is so accessible and I for one love to take advantage of their very purse friendly pricing. It’s great that we can try numerous amounts of different products without our bank balance having a mild heart attack. Even if we pick up a product we don’t like, it’s no big deal as we can easily replace it for one we do, with both products costing us less than one MAC lippy. I have rounded up my top 5 makeup products for under £5 for those of you that love a bargain.
This is one of my favourite drug store lip liners, it is rich and creamy, goes on effortlessly and comes in some gorgeous colours. This one is Addiction 018 and is perfect for that 90’s nude lip.
2. Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer
This is a cult product among the beauty obsessed and it has been compared to Nars concealer on numerous occasions. It is a great concealer with brilliant coverage and fantastic staying power.
3. Makeup Revolution Lipstick
I raved about these lippies here and for £5 you could buy 5 of them, crazy! They are super pigmented and are long lasting, I am not a big fan of the matte ones though as I find them really drying on the lips. Also, one thing to beware of is that the lid on these lippies is not that secure and sometimes comes off in my handbag and we all know what kind of mess that can create.
4. Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter
Highlighters have taken the beauty world by storm, it is a must have item in any avid makeup fans collection. This one from Makeup Revolution is a gorgeous bright highlighting shade with yellow undertones. You only need the tiniest amount and it can be quite tricky to blend but it gives the cheekbones a gorgeous glow.
I mentioned my love of these polishes in this previous post and for me they offer everything you could want from a nail polish – easy to apply, dry’s quickly, amazing colour range and great shine. I think I have every colour they offer at this stage…
Price: varies but the most you would pay is £3.99
