The reason why everyone decides to blog is unique and very personal to them, for me I enjoy being creative and love to write about things I am passionate about. It’s great to have a space where I can post anything I like, one day I could write about a deep topic that has moved me and the next I could share my new must-have lippy, I like that there are no restrictions. It’s my favourite hobby and I love sharing my passions, it also motivates me to achieve my goals.
Reading posts from other bloggers discussing why they started, their favourite parts about the blogging process and what it is that keeps them going even when they feel like giving up, always intrigue me as I love to hear about their journey.
I have answered 7 blog related questions to give you more of an insight into CC Hearts and would love if my fellow bloggers out there would like to answer them too!
1. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I love writing, I love beauty and I love fashion so I decided to combine all three to make CC Hearts. At the time I didn’t really have any hobbies that I was very passionate about and blogging was something that I had wanted to do for a long time but never had the courage to just go for it. I had just left my previous job to move to New York for 3 months so I thought it was perfect timing as I would have lots more time on my hands and of course it was the perfect way to document some of my NYC trip.
2. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
When I started I never thought I would love blogging as much as I do, I particularly enjoy sharing tips and tricks and writing engaging content. Like most, I love learning a new tip or trick that completely changes how my makeup looks and I also love sharing these tips in the hope it will help others too. It is so rewarding when you write something and people respond really positively to it.
3. What do you hope for the future of your blog?
I would like my blog to continue to grow and be a place of positivity and intrigue for anyone with likeminded interests. I’m a big advocate of learning something new every day and pushing yourself to do things that get you closer to where you want to be, which when you have a blog certainly is the case because you are constantly learning and doing things that before you would have shied away from. It is hard work but everything worth having usually is.
4. What do you find most difficult about blogging?
For me, it’s getting my content out there. I love blogging and really try my utmost to produce quality work, so it can be disappointing when a post that has taken me ages to write, photograph and edit doesn’t get as much love as I had hoped. But very recently my mind set around hits and likes has changed, I enjoy blogging and I know that if I keep working hard on producing interesting and fun pieces the hits and likes will continue to grow.
5. What is your most successful blog post?
This one was the most personal to me and the one I was absolutely compelled to write. It’s all about my lovely little sis and just a reminder to enjoy your life for what it is, don’t compare yourself to others and never ever take what you have for granted because I guarantee you others are praying for what you have.
6. What is the biggest lesson you have learnt from blogging?
Not to care about what people think. In the beginning I thought I can’t really post makeup tips because people will think but she is not a makeup artist or what if people don’t like my outfit post and these thoughts would massively hinder what I would post, now though if I love it I post it because I am the one creating this space and I want to make it one that I am proud of and interested in.
7. Describe your blog in 3 words.
Upbeat. Insightful. Motivational.
