What I Wore: NYE

It’s the first Monday of the new year so that means it is officially time to get back to it and get the year off to a flying start. No more Christmas treats just resolutions and setting new goals. My first post of 2016 is a fashion one as I wanted to share what I wore to ring in the New Year and say hello to 2016!

It was my lovely sisters birthday so we reserved an area in Krystle, a nightclub in Dublin, and had such a fun night with lots of bubbles which lead to lots of singing and dancing and of course snapping.

As girls usually do, we spent most of the day getting ready which is sometimes the best part even when the girls rope me in to put on their lashes, do their eyeliner and curl their hair. I don’t mind though as I love glamming up my friends and my bestie had just got the Urban Decay smokey palette for Christmas so I was more than happy to play with that while I touched up her eye makeup. It is most certainly now on my makeup must have list, which never seems to stop growing.

The theme of the night at Krystle was Great Gatsby and I had been deliberating between two dresses for most of the day #firstworldprobelms. One was a gorgeous pearl embellished knee length dress and the other a gold and navy sequins short dress. As you can see the sequins one was the winner as it was much more glitzy and for the night that was in it I thought the more sparkle the better.

I went for full on glamour with my makeup because any excuse really. I chose a gold and copper sparkly eye to match the dress with lots of lashes and teamed them with a bright pink lip using MAC’s Show Orchid.

Happy Birthday to my lovely sis Lauren X

When in doubt, pout it out!

Hope you all had a lovely New Years and wishing you all the very best for the year ahead may it bring you all lots of luck and happiness.
