Fake eyelashes can be a little tricky to apply but they are certainly worth the extra effort required as they can completely transform any makeup look and add instant glamour. I love big full lashes and would wear false ones everyday if I could get away with it but I think heading out to buy milk with full on lashes is a little excessive, even for me.
You will need:
- Fake eyelashes
- Eyelash glue
- Liquid Eyeliner
This 6 step tutorial is how I apply my lashes and it always serves me really well so I hope it will be useful for you too.
Step 1: Apply some liquid liner and mascara to your natural lashes, this will help the fake lashes blend with your natural ones.
Step 2: Cut the lashes to size and apply the glue. Let the glue sit for about 10 seconds on the lash before applying as this will make it a bit tacky and help them stick better.
Step 3: I always think if you are not great at something like applying lashes or eyeliner you should always start with your most tricky eye, we all have one! Then once you conquered that eye you will do the other in a breeze. So starting with your hard eye drop the lash into the center of the lash line using your fingers or tweezers.
Step 4: Taking the outer corner of the fake lash pull it down to the outer corner of your eye.
Step 5: Using your fingers or tweezers grab the inner corner of the fake lashes and pull it down into place in the inner corner of your eye. Fan the lashes to help dry the glue.
Step 6: Hide any sign of the lash band with liquid liner and blend the normal lashes with the fake lashes with a little more mascara.
