When you like to buy as many new products as I do (all in the name of research) it is inevitable that some of those products will not work out and will make you regret buying them. It’s unfortunate but you just can’t love everything.
These are the products that I wish I hadn’t purchased and would like to share why so that I may save some of you a little cash to spend on the more trusty products such as another MAC lipstick, because your collection is not going to grow itself’s now is it?
1. Sally Hansen Nail Stickers
I love nail stickers as they make the manicure process so much easier as there is no drying time, because we all know that as soon as you finish painting your nails your bladder pipes up which leads to you smudging those lovely fresh nails, leaving you back at square one #firstworldproblems. I absolutely love the look of these stickers, they are so cute on the nails but they just do not last and chip like crazy. They are supposed to last 10 days but I didn’t even get one day out of them as a few nails just popped off and every other nail has chipped so I would definitely not recommend these, we will just have to stick to the polish.
2. Nivea Sensitive Caring Micellar Water
I ran out of the Garnier Micellar Water and it was out of stock when I went to get some more so I picked this one up from Nivea instead as it looked quite good. It states that it is a “3 in 1 Care Cleanser for face & eyes” but unfortunately it does not come even close to Garnier’s micellar water and is a product I will not be purchasing again. I got it nearly two weeks ago and it is pretty much gone and that is because you need to use so much of the stuff to get all your makeup off. It’s also terrible for removing eye makeup, especially mascara, as it just doesn’t seem to be strong enough to remove it. Even though it does state on the back that it “removes eye make-up gently without rubbing and cares for beautiful lashes” well they aren’t going to be beautiful if they’ve still got last nights mascara on them, are they? I think I will stick with the Garnier one.
3.Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll-On
I am constantly looking for an amazing eye cream that will keep my under eye area looking bright and fresh, two things I hoped this product would help with but unfortunately it just does not deliver. I know with skincare you do have to give it a chance but I have be trying this one for over a month and it literally does nothing. It has a roll on top which is nice for cooling the eyes but it just doesn’t work properly as the product is supposed to come up through it but it just ended up bursting out through the side and going everywhere, disaster.
4. Bourjois Happy Light – Luminous Primer
I tried this product in the hope it would create a gorgeous glowing base for foundation, that would make my skin look glowy and dewy but this primer just did absolutely nothing for me, only left me disappointed. It is too light and seems to just sink into the skin and disappear, it makes no impact on how the foundation looks and once its on you can not notice any difference at all.As you can see I have had to use a stock image as I loved it so much that I seem to have misplaced it.
Have you purchased any products lately that didn’t live up to their claims?
