Blue & Violet Eyeshadow Look Using Too Faced Sugar Pop Palette

Today’s eyeshadow look is very colourful and very much so out of my normal makeup comfort zone but I was inspired by the stunning colours in the Carrie earrings from my blog shop and wanted to create a striking blue toned eye that would pull out the colours in the earrings.

To create this look I used the Too Faced Sugar Pop Palette as the colour selection is fantastic and I am just in love with Sugared Violet, a stunningly beautiful dark purple colour that has a hint of glitter.

The shadows in this palette are really colourful and are great for experimenting and creating some fun looks. They’re also really pigmented but they do tend have quite a bit of fall out so make sure and do your eyeshadow first before your foundation and concealer as you will need to clean up all the fall out from under your eyes once you’ve completed your shadow look.

To create this blue and violet eyeshadow sandwich these are the steps I followed:

Step 1: Apply Rock Candy all over the lids.

Step 2: Pop Sugared Violet just into the crease line.

Step 3: In the center of the lids apply Blue Raspberry.

Step 4:  Taking the Sugared Violet shade again apply to the inner and outer corners of the eye.IMG_6379-0

Step 5: Go back in with Blue Raspberry to intensify the colour in the middle and to blend out any harsh lines.

Step 6: To finish apply a little Sugared Violet to the lower lash line, apply lots mascara or falsies and a little black liquid eyeliner.

Normally I tend to stick with browns and golds but I really loved how this look turned out. I kept it neutral with the lips and added lots of highlight to keep the skin dewy and to help balance out the whole look.

I hope you like it.
