Recently I have been taking a break from buying makeup and homeware goodies and have got some things to actually put on my body, which is always a good thing as you know it is quite necessary. I picked my 5 favourite new wardrobe pieces that I have recently acquired to share with you today and I hope you like them as much as I do.
I remember having Superstars in my teens and I was totally obsessed with them, so when I spotted them bursting back on to the scene sure I was only delighted and quickly snapped up a pair. I think they make an chilled outfit so much cuter especially when they are white and pink like my new cuties are.
Primark Denim Button Up Skirt
I love these types of skirts as they can be worn with so many different tops and jackets, you can dress them up and down and they work for day wear as well as night’s out, they also look cute with black tights and a jumper, which will be what I will be wearing it with from now on, eek I love this cosy time of year. This skirt I picked up from Primark, it is a gorgeous light washed denim and it is a really flattering fit thanks to it’s A-line structure. I think I will get so much wear out of it.
Off The Shoulder Dusty Pink Top
I got this cute pink top in a little boutique in Dublin, that I completely forget the name of but I have seen these kinds of tops everywhere and even have a similar one from Exhibit. It was initially the off the shoulder details that attracted me to it and then the beautiful dusty pink shade had me sold. I wore it to a wedding recently with a gorgeous ballerina-esque skirt from Zara and in this shot I teamed it with my white ripped skinny jeans and my new superstars for a more casual daytime look. I also recently got this C choker from Topshop that I love and these gorgeous shades from Forever 21, as much as I love buying clothes I think I may prefer picking accessories.
I recently have become obsessed with swimming and try to go for a swim at least 4 times a week, it is so relaxing, helps clear my head and it puts me in the best mood, so these Adidas sliders were a necessary purchase for the pool. Even if I have also been wearing them everyday around the house (and right now) – they are just so comfortable and unlike slippers you can run outside without ending up getting your feet soaking wet – win win.
The Bomber Jacket Of Dreams
It features a star, a pineapple and a unicorn – need I say more? When I spotted this on PrettyLittleThing.com I couldn’t wait to get it, despite the fact I was on a self inflicted jacket and shoe buying ban. I have noticed lately that I have so many jackets and shoes but not really much else which as you can tell is quite the dilemma as you can’t just wear a jacket and shoes on their own, well you could but I’m not about that life. Anyway, I lifted my ban for this green beauty (as well as the pink flower number in the second picture) because it was a necessary addition to my wardrobe, just like all the others – I have a talent for convincing myself I need things when I really don’t but sure if you love it, buy it – life is short (see I told you it is a talent)!
Have you added any fab pieces to your wardrobe recently? I’m thinking my next purchase will have to be a faux fur coat or over the knee boots (see the jacket and shoe addiction is REAL!) – it is starting to get really chilly here in Ireland.
